On Saturday September 28th, a small but determined group, including Lara White, from our Chicago office, walked for the American Heart Association.
In her own words Lara recounted the reasons why supporting this effort meant so much. “We [all] had our reasons. Personally, I look back on my life thirty years ago or so. When my maternal grandfather passed it was such a shock. The hardest thing about my grandfather passing was it was so quick. That is what happens with heart attacks. 30 plus years later I still tear up just thinking about it. William Bucher passed in 1982. My daughter & I walk for him almost every year.”
Another Summit associate,Kirk Kaczor, who is the fulfillment lead in the Chicago warehouse and his family also joined the Summit team. Kirk has his own personal story, and has also participated frequently over the years. Rounding out the group was John McConnell, the account manager for the American Heart Association. Through various fundraising efforts taken in the Chicago office, including the $15 jeans week and money collected from some of our vendors, well over $1000 will be going to the American Heart Association.
Join us in congratulating our Summit Group Chicago office for their tremendous accomplishment in supporting such a worthy cause!
