If you’re ever in Summit Group’s Chicago office, be sure to meet our newest associate, Ken “KD” Wittenberg. As a client solutions manager, he works directly with the Summit Recognition Solutions team. Since he has worked for Summit for almost a month now, he is going through a rotational program that helps him learn more about Summit, our clients, and our industry with his main focus being on the engagement and recognition aspect. In addition to learning, he has jumped into ongoing projects with no hesitation such as JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation). He is also providing research support to a number of people on existing projects.
In KD’s free time he enjoys reading, networking, golfing, car racing, volunteering, and traveling with family and friends. When asked about a favorite memory of his, he thought back to a family trip he took to Wisconsin for the 4th of July. The day was spent tubing, driving ATV’s, and enjoying the hot summer weather in Northern Wisconsin. The best part about it was that it was spent being together with his entire family and some of their best friends. Travel and having a good time living life has always been a key factor in KD’s life so for that reason he’s happy to be able to do that through his job.
KD enjoys spending time with those that are entrepreneurial, positive, energetic, and enjoy helping others, so his role in the engagement and recognition industry fits him well. Traveling already is a huge part of his life and being able to do that for a living is a bonus. He has been given the chance to network with people around the country, get hands on experience with current opportunities, while pushing him out of his comfort zone and ultimately allowing him to learn all aspects of the business in a timely fashion.
Although, he is just getting his feet wet at Summit Group, he’s already looking forward to the future. He plans to go into business development and bring a breath of fresh air to the Summit team. He tries to always have a positive attitude in all he does and hopes that energy impacts others in their day to day life. One thing you might not know about KD is that he enjoys writing and one day plans to write a book targeting young people as they grow in their personal and professional lives.
We are proud to welcome KD to Summit Group and wish him nothing but success!
Think we might be worthy of a conversation? We'd love to hear what you have in mind.
